The TXR-002 by Tomy ® was originally designed more than twenty years ago.
The TXR-002 was a four channel, R/C controlled robot that was sold in Japan and the UK. It has a JR digital proportional multifunction radio, inside micro servos, controler, dual leg motors, transmitter and a receiver. Both arms are fully controlable, right arm has gripper claw, left arm has flood light and a air powered BB gun arm that shoots plastic BB's. It moves forwards, backwards, left and right and the upper body turns left, right, up and down.
TXR-002 by Tomy, Made in Japan as most things are!

nice find. but unfortunatly after a translation this action has already ended. good to see they are still about so i may have a better chance of finding one.
some more info,
the Tomy TXR-002 was ahead of its time, but taught the company lots of valuable lessons that were eventually incorporated into the i-SOBOT design. The TXR-002 was a four channel, R/C controlled robot that was sold up until 1994 in Japan and the UK for aproxiamately USD$ 500. The robot is still well known in Japan and remembered quite fondly by its fans.

thanks.

This is a cool little bot but I wonder if it walks or if the feet have wheels on the bottom?

Whoops, should've translated before linking. Here are two more from the same site - still available, auctions ending Nov 28 and 30th.

http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g85415689
http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h136687641

Hope this helps! :D

That thing looks awesome  Its like ED209 and a battlemech had a child!

I'm glad I didn't know about it in the mid 90s because I would have gone mad wanting it

That torso on a set of lynxmotion legs - yes please!
