I just thought I'd post to say I had no troubles at all using LynxTerm, PowerPod and Basic Micro Studio on Windows XP in VMWare Fusion 3.0 on my iMac (27" Core i7 12GB RAM blah blah). Talking serial using an old Keyspan USA-19HS I had lying around, passed straight through as a USB device to VMWare with the drivers installed in Windows. The only hitch was caused by my own stupidity and not the technology.

Once I get my hexapod all batteried up and am done driving it around the house with the PS2 controller I'll almost certainly be hacking up some software for the Mac to talk to something roboty, though I may wait for the Botboarduino as I'm much more fond of C programming than of Basic. I'll probably also look at building some sort of control interface for the iPad talking to the bot either via wifi or an iP* Zigbee adapter I'd planned on building for another project. If anybody is interested in any of this please post ITT or drop me a PM if you have ideas, requests, death threats or just wanna encourage me to work on it among my other 29385729385 pet projects.
