I'm looking to make a yard rover using a router and an IP cam. I have seen a lot of project pages but no really good guides on getting the whole thing up and running. I'm trying to get a basic control/video link set up, and expand from there to serial devices like the SSC or GPS and sensors like rangefinders or voltage levels. I'm trying to do it without reinventing the wheel or breaking the bank.

So I'm looking for advice on the brains of the bot right now. I'm leaning towards routerbot with IP-cam, but all the info I've found seems to be for older versions of the WRT54. I'm hoping someone can point me towards a more available option. The main thing I need is range. Its got to be able to get from inside a house to a fairly large yard, even if I have to throw an AP or repeater on the otuside of the house.

Beautiful, that appears to be exactly what I was looking for. I've heard tales of this mythical are dwee no thing, but have yet to get my mitts on one. Will have to change that...

OK after sniffing around the arduinos for a bit, I like em. Trying to put together a shopping list here. I already have the router and IP cam I plan to use for the bot, and I'll be handling power for the whole mess once I get further into the brawn side of things. So from sparky I'm looking at...
