Two totaly unique Robots for sale in the UK -
Now on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pair-6-high-steel ... 1c10aaaaea

These were located in a bar under London Bridge in London. The bar was called "Cynthias" They were built from scratch by a company that manufactured robots that were used for teaching purposes in Universities around the world. These two are the only ones in the world and were created in the late 1990's at the cost of over £200,000! When they were installed they worked they independently in two areas of the bar. They mixed and served drinks to the gerneral public. Each had a large keypad. You would decide on your coctail and press the appropriate button. The barman/robot (they were named Cynthia & Rasta) would then pick up a coctail shaker and move to the correct drink dispensers, (there were loads of them) mix the coctail and finaly serve it in a glass whilst at the same time telling bad jokes!"
When the bar was being closed three years ago I managed to get hold of them and return them to the saftey of my studio. I dont have everything from the bar but the robots are more or less complete. We had one running in basic form - moving hands and arms up and down.

These are now taking up valuable space and I have decided to sell them.

Mechanicaly they are in good condition - Computer wise - these are 1990's technology and worked via lots of inputs from drink dispensers etc. The two computers work but they would benefit with modern technology & computers by someone in the know. All motors are heavy duty items - the arms are counterweighted with lead! The bodies turned on powered turntables. The heads moved left & right. The arms went up and down - arems bent at the elbows. The hands rotate and the fingers upen and close

These Robots represent "state of the art" technology for the late 1990's and are unique!. Imagine them working in the reception of a company selling say computers!.

These robots are heavy and are currently mounted on steel frames with castors so they can be moved. They come with some boxes with spare parts, stepper motors etc.

Both robots need collecting but I can arrange delivery if required at cost.
