Eric designed the PullPull system to my specification. They work perfectly.

I'm really impressed by the design and look of the delicious 3D printed parts.
Great to see it coming together. :D

Thanks. Im please that you like it.
The body structure has been fun to design, but even better seeing the model turn into physical parts.
Also its the first thing iv ever designed using cad so i hope it pays off.
Tests will start once Eric has cut me some g10 plates to hold the pull system together.
Ill be using a clear perspex cylinder to house the servos. The bird will sit on top of the cylinder.

Ill be able remove the cylinder to maintain the servos if need be.
I have several of these to make.
Iv designed the internal structure to be universal so it can be feathered into different birds.

Had quite a few enquiry about these and so it will be great if this prototype works well.

Nice work love the organic look. Are you going to put springs inbetween the neck vertebrae to support the head?
For your first cad design project that looks great. Solidworks is a great tool I love it. Thare is a company here in the
US called National Fiber Technology thay make a 4way stretch fur called I think Tbird fur when air brushed it looks
like the fine body fethers on the head and chest [b]not cheep [b] may be more then you whant to spend last
time I used them it was $36 a sq foot I thought I would share , fethering is so time consuming.
You got my vote! :D

Thanks. The neck vertebrae is connected using ball joints that have been designed to lock into each other.
The neck won't need springs as its strong enough to hold the head up.

Im still looking at the best option for the head. This one will blink its eyes so i have made a skull from polyurethane and another in cad for printing.

I have a deal with a local taxidermist. He has won for the last five years so he's the leading taxidermist in the UK.

;)

Thanks pal.
Its a very interesting project to work on.
3d printing is awesome.
I can also print this in stainless steel. That's crazy. Not to mention expensive.

Thanks for the comment. ;)
Iv had a long look at how nature has evolved the mechanics of the bird skeletal structure. Although id never be able to copy its design, Im hoping it will mimic natures design. Giving it a realistic look.

when scientists will be able to copy nature in mechanics with 100% success with additionally AI, machines will dominate people.
